Vicencio Marquez stated in a video interview that he always wanted to be a journalist but different situations in Mexico prevented him from making his dream a reality. When he arrived at Tepeyac Association in 1992 and started to take photography classes, he never imagined that this was the first step towards the fulfillment of his dream a few years later. He convinced the institution directors to require a video specialist on the list of interns that would come from Mexico that year. After some time had passed, Javier de la Torre shared Vicencio's interest in video and, being a graphic designer, had to learn video making in a "crash course" that Alex Rivera, a well-known video artist and activist, offered to them.More...
