The Hemispheric Institute
seminars are funded by the Ford and Rockefeller Foundations.
|
|
| Our funding is limited,
so we ask that all participants pay the registration fee of $300 for U.S.
based participants, and $150 for non-U.S. based participants. |
|
|
|
| This year, the seminar
will be offered for New York University course credit. The registration
fee is included in the cost of tuition and program fees, made payable to
NYU. Applying to NYU for course credit is optional. As in the past, we will
grant certificates of completion to all of the participants who attend the
seminar. You do not need to apply for NYU Course Credit to participate in
the seminar. |

| Tuition Costs through
New York University for course credit are the following: |

| Tuition for 4 points:
$2,184 |
|
| Program fee (includes
housing) $550 |
|
| Lab fee: $250 |
|
| Optional three-day
festival in Paucartambo (includes transportation and lodging): $500 |
|
| Total:
$2984.00 (without Paucartambo festival) |

| Fellowships: |
|
|
Limited small fellowships
are available for students, non-tenured scholars, artists and activists.
These fellowships may include remission of the registration fee and/or
a small stipend. You should note your desire to be considered for a fellowship
in your statement of interest, as part of the Seminar Application.

|
|
|
|
Additional Costs:
|
|
| All participants are
responsible for their own travel, accomodation and per diem expenses. There
are several receptions, coffees, and a closing dinner included in the registration
fee. |

|
|
| Paucartambo/Cuzco
Costs: |
|
|
For those participants
interested in the Institute package trip to Paucartambo/Cuzco following
the seminar, the trip costs $500 per person. Space is limited to 35 participants.
If you wish to go on the Paucartambo/Cuzco trip with a non-participant
of the seminar (friend, spouse, etc.) the cost is $750. More information
regarding the Paucartambo trip is available on this website.
