Social Body and Poetic Body in Argentina
Read this keynote in e-misférica 4.2
Abstract
Proposing a Philosophy of Theater would allow us to employ a series of concepts to understand performance practices in their un-delimitation and complexity: the distinction between social body and poetic body, cohabitation and zones of experience and subjectivity, theater of “states” and the possibility of thinking about poetics as spaces of ontological tensions that displace the notions of “representation” and “presentation.”
