Jenkins uses GPS systems to make drawings that function as a hybrid map/tag on major urban centers. He walks in the shape of a huge cross-several city blocks to commemorate the women that are kidnapped, raped and murdered in Juarez, Mexico.
Matthew Jenkins is a performance artist and scholar from Denver, United States. Matt recently earned his M.F.A. in Electronic Media Art and Design from the University of Denver. He also has an M.A. in American Studies from the University of New Mexico. Currently he is an Artist-in Residence in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.
