Perry Bard

The workshop introduces participants to Vertov's film, relates his experiment to Bard's own experiment in database cinema, talks about the Web's enabling of participation, explains how to make this kind of video, and then sends people out to shoot and upload images.

Biography

Perry Bard has exhibited video and installations internationally at the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Scanners Video Festival at Lincoln Center, PS 1 Museum in New York, Reina Sofía Museum in Madrid, Frac des Pays de la Loire (France), São Paulo Biennial, VideoBrasil, Transmediale ’09, Ars Electronica ’08, 25th Viper (Basel, Switzerland), and Ostrannenie Electronic Media Forum, among others.
