Preludio en Boricua Patas-Atrás
A multilingual fairy tale from the recently published Abolición del pato in which Lola explains the history of the Caribbean (particularly Puerto Rico) with a strong dose of homosexuality, making a couple of pit stops at sodomy and uranism via Africa, Mesoamerica and the Andes in pre- and post-Hispanic and American Empire times. Very fruitful!
Performed during a special night of Trasnocheo organized in memory of José Esteban Muñoz. Curated by Tavia Nyong'o, Jack Halberstam, and Macarena Gomez-Barris
