Hemispheric Casserole
The workshop culminated in a street procession with Encuentro participants and local musicians on a theme adapted from Peretz's story, Transmigration of a Melody. In our retelling, the "melody" is casserole music, public banging on pots and pans, as it travels from Argentina factory workers to Mexico City’s "Yo Soy 132" to Occupy Wall Street to Quebec students to the Encuentro.
