Golpe de suerte describes the rise and fall of Palomino who, in the pursuit of money and power, becomes the pawn of the bigger and more powerful. The play follows the protagonist in his attempt to become a drug lord, his descent into corruption, and his ultimate loss of control over life and future. Created in the 1980’s, Golpe de suerte is one of several plays that portray the violence and damage wrought by drug and gun trafficking.
