Inspired by the phrase “arriba arriba, ándale ándale!” made famous by the cartoon Speedy Gonzales, the 'caídas' of this collective evoke the situating of a physical dynamism that conveys the limits between the margin and the framing of the position of the artist in movement.

Biography

Collectif We are not Speedy Gonzales was founded in 2000 by artists in Montreal who live outside their cultural context of origin. The collective members are Eric Bertrand, Constanza Camelo, Tania de la Cruz and James Partaik.
