Biography

Over the the past 15 years, Manuel Piña has produced a series of videos that question the reliability of the documentary form and the predominance of the spectacle.  Although he emerges from a long lineage of documentary photographers (Korda, Liborio Noval, etc), he breaks with the absolute confidence that it places on the documentary visual artifact as identical with the truth.
