Ernesto Oroza looks at popular practices in marginal areas and specific socioeconomic circumstances, often focusing particularly on the objects and practices that are valued in these contexts. Over the last decade, he has documented the retro-fitted objects that began to appear throughout Havana in an effort to understand how certain popular design practices have a way of becoming forces that can alter urban morphologies.
