Times of Sand
Gustavo Fernández Vega
This documentary aims to represent and share the experiences of those who inhabit spaces of surveillance: university buildings, museums, a stand on the side of the highway, a parking lot ,or a vehicle in which a bodyguard awaits the person he is supposed to protect. Some transform the time they spend waiting into a source of pleasure, using unique strategies such as blowing up balloons, writing love poems, visiting a photo exhibit, imitating various sounds, or "disconnecting" a pair of children.
