The Super Fun Death of Z Carioca

The Super Fun Death of Z Carioca is a performance/video/installation that examines themes of nationality, language and media. Z Carioca is a pirated version of Zé Carioca, the Walt Disney parrot who, attached by his heel to his hammock, only has a TV, a radio, and a firearm for diversion.

Biography

Raphi Soifer is an artist, educator, and researcher. He holds a degree from Yale University in Anthropology and Performing Arts. He was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts and lives in Brazil.
