Andrés Matute

Video piece made in Havana in 2005, composed of two simultaneous projections. In each, the image of half of a queen-sized bed appears, moving slightly, and we hear the voices of Cuban and foreign people who answer the following questions: "What place in the world do you find interesting, and why?" and "What is your reason for being in Cuba?


Andres Matute is a visual artist who studied at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (1993-1998) and received an MFA in Visual Arts from the Instituto Superior de Arte de la Habana (2002-2005). He is currently an artist and professor at Universidad Javeriana and Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá, Colombia).
