Zeca Ligiéro

The workshop is based on expressive and festive techniques of traditions present in the African Diaspora of the Americas, as well as in native (indigenous) South American traditions, including dance, song, and percussion. All work during the workshop will be developed through games and study of oral traditions and mythic narratives.

Biography

Zeca Ligiéro is a Brazilian author, artist, director and theater professor. He was a founder and the first coordinator of the Graduate Program in Theater at the Universidade do Rio de Janeiro. He is the director of the Hemispheric Institute of Performance and Politics in Brazil.
