The participants will be introduced to Boal's Theater of the Oppressed games and exercises. They will be involved in various forms of collaboration. The games and exercises can be applied to making original performance/theater works and to classroom/community interactions, while addressing the distinctive roles of culture and education in that process. Fundamentally, these approaches will engage critical thinking and allow the participants to examine the commonalities and distinctive manners with which we perceive the social/political matrix of our everyday lives.
