As explained by Márquez in the video, Afro Caribbean characters and Puerto Rican traditional games and crafts are incorporated to the performance as a social and pedagogical intervention in the public sphere aiming to open up a discussion on race while rendering drama activities and traditional stories accessible to the Puerto Rican population.
