In A fuego lento, three men, Eduardo, Juan, and Mario, cook dinner for an unnamed woman. Written by Patricia Ariza and directed by César Badillo, the play premiered in June of 1997 at Teatro La Candelaria.

“The characters of A Fuego Lento aren’t exactly the three musketeers; they represent three classic antiheroes: the alcoholic womanizer, the man so sweet he must be gay, and the mature intellectual. Throughout the play the men describe a woman who never arrives.

She becomes the fourth musketeer, one so implausible that she can’t even appear onstage, because she doesn’t exist.” (La Nación 21 Aug 1997)
