This participatory performance invites the audience to wear cardboard masks and/or sandwich boards with digital collages and spray painted slogans. Participants can utilize the materials to disrupt any context, including interventions in public spaces or collective actions. The prepared materials are available at the FOFA gallery’s coat check.
Biography
Jessica MacCormack is an artist whose interdisciplinary practice engages with the intersection of institutional violence and the socio-political reality of personal trauma. Working with communities affected by stigma and oppression, she positions art as a tool to engender personal and political agency.
