Pirate Radio Primer

What are the main elements of creating an FM radio transmitter, and of using it in a variety of site-specific contexts? This a technical and performative exploration of public space. We will choreograph together a sonic setting for testing properties of antennas, reception and feedback. Walk away with your own kit. DIY devices of all other kinds are welcomed.

Kathy Kennedy is a sound artist with formal training in visual art as well as classical singing. She often uses radio transmission or telephony and voice.
