Karen Jaime is a New York based spoken word/performance artist, cultural activist and writer.  She is a regular at the Nuyorican Poets Café where she has co-produced spoken word/performance events. She has also performed at the Bottom Line, DUMBA, Café Largo, Bluestockings Women's Bookstore and at colleges throughout the northeast.  Karen Jaime is currently the hostess/curator for the Nuyorican's Friday Night Slam and a PhD student in the Performance Studies Department at NYU.
