Biography

Tanya Calamoneri is an arts administrator and grant writer who has worked for numerous arts organizations in San Francisco and New York, including serving as the Executive Director of Dancers' Group, Co-Director of 848 Community Space and Temescal Arts Center, Founding Faculty Member and Development Director of the Experimental Performance Institute at New College, of the performance companies InkBoat, Epiphany Productions, violent dwarf, and SO.GO.NO., and Founding Member of the artist life-work space Studio 111 in Brooklyn, NY. She has worked as a grant writer in New York for Richard Schechner's East Coast Artists, and the Cave Organization/NY Butoh Festival, and currently is working with the Hemispheric Institute. She is pursuing her MA in Butoh dance (dance created after World War II which includes elements of dances from Japan and Western Located countries), at NYU's Gallatin School. http://www.inkboat.com/inkbio/biotanya.html
