Leah Lovett: Murmuration

Murmuration takes its name from a group of starlings in flight, as a display of social interaction and resistance to predation through seamless collectivity. Participants from local activist networks retrace historic protest routes in a performance that oscillates between charged action, urban gameplay and everyday activity.

Leah Lovett is an artist and writer, living and working in London, UK. She is currently researching a PhD at the Slade, UCL, with support from the AHRC, investigating the spatial politics of invisible theatre. Recent performances include SMASH LAB, The Book Club, London (2014) and A Small Hiccup, Grand Union, Birmingham and touring (2013).
