Bodies in Motion; “The Distribution of the Sensible”

Exploring the sensory relationship with self, environment and others, this workshop highlights the political inscription/distribution of our bodies in motion. The fluidity of senses is stressed to create a better level of collaboration, within a global approach of perception through movement.

Biography

Florence Figols is a choreographer and researcher, interested by the senses in performance, the inscription of embodied knowledge, and the micro-politics of dance. Her work and research have been presented in national and international dance festivals and conferences. She teaches in the Contemporary Dance Department, Concordia University.
