Luis Gerardo Rosero ¨Pies del Sol¨

This workshop is based on indigenous dances, such as the Warrior Dance, from the border region between Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It offers a conceptual and practical overview of the dance and traditional rhythms from the San Juanes and Danzantes de Males, dance groups from the Males Indigenous Reservation in the municipality of Córdoba, Nariño. This workshop includes the exhibition of the dance costumes and other audiovisual material.

Biography

Teatro-Danza Luis Gerardo Rosero “Pies del Sol” is a group of artists committed to the creation of a space for the research and production of theater-dance works, masked groups, and choreographic collectives in the carnivals of the world as well as different artistic cultural events.
