Building Out: Scenes from the Archive
We are hybrid scholar/performance artists tracing the history of feminist/artist culture through the contours of its recorded language. The performance Scenes From the Archives will allow us to engage in critical discussion about the use of performative measures to unlock the past, challenging representations of work with a political intent.
Biography
The Archonettes are Francisco-Fernando Granados, a Guatemalan-born artist, writer and educator; Johanna Householder, co-founder of the 7a*11d International Festival of Performance Art, and co-editor of Caught in the Act; and Bojana Videkanic, an artist/theorist who works in the field of performance art, drawing, and installation.
