Script
"The land is dry, the land is dead": such is the recurring theme in this new version of Euripides' "The Bacchae" by Teatro Buendía's Raquel Carrió and Flora Lauten. Structured in fifteen "cuadros," this new version proposes a contemporary reading of the classic play, turning our attention from the original Greek play's preoccupation with guilt and punishment, towards an exploration of the themes and conflicts of exile, migration, the mechanisms of power, popular traditions, and the myths that have been with us from Antiquity to the present.
