Paolo Gerbaudo is a lecturer in Digital Culture and Society at King's College London and a researcher interested in new media and culture in contemporary global activism. His research blog on social media and contemporary activism, Tweets and the Streets, will be turned into a book at the end of October. His research encompasses the popular social movements of recent times from Greece, to the Arab Spring, to Occupy Wall Street, and the Indignados.
